This quarter was great, and I gained a strong mindset shift, which I’m sharing below. Before diving into it, feel free to read my past entries here since April 2023. Here’s the quarterly planning template I use; you may adapt it however suits your season of life:
- Review your top 3 aspirations for the past 3 months, did you achieve them? If not, why?
- What were the top 3 big wins of the past 3 months and why?
- What were the 3 biggest challenges, and what did you learn from them?
- What are the top 3 aspirations for the coming 3 months? And what’s the biggest risk they might not happen? And what are you going to do to mitigate that risk?
✨You don’t always have to list three things; you can change the number yourself as your life experiences differ.
To help achieve my goals, I used a 13-week year Google Sheets template (based on the 12-week year method) to set up my goals, track progress, and reflect. (I created the template, and you can purchase it here) So far, it has improved my focus and results drastically. Here’s my snapshot for this quarter.

Q2 2025 Reflections
- My 1-year surrender experiment till Sept 2025 (contd). (✅10/10) Other than surrendering myself and stopping to react negatively to inconvenience and hardships, I had also integrated the practice of the law of assumption, more to be shared in the next section.
- Wondefull’s monthly profit reached RM400. (✅4/10) I successfully launched one new Budgeting Tracker product according to plan, but the revenue decreased compared to the last quarter. The Google Sheets products do not sell well.
- Reducing LDL from 4.89 to 3.3. (✅7/10) I didn’t manage to do a detailed cholesterol test, only a simple one, which showed my total cholesterol decreased from 7.2 to 6.11. The following is my weekly strategy progress:
- 20 mins cardio before gym: I did not follow this as I had a separate session just for running.
- Cardio sport: I signed up for a full marathon this October to push myself to do training every week. Now I can run 12km in a session.
- Yoga and meditation: I did Inside Flow yoga almost every week. Although it was not posture and strength-focused, I enjoyed the dancing part so much! My mood always lightened up after every session.
- Cholesterol supplement and consume sufficient vegetables intake every day: I wasn’t as diligent about the cholesterol supplement, but my vegetable intake was easily doubled compared to the previous quarter.
- Upskill on AI and PM. (✅10/10) To find a good job offer, I devoted the majority of my time to upskilling. In total, I completed the Google Kaggle Generative AI course and built 2 bots: a gift recommendation bot and an article writing bot. I picked up AI and app development tools such as Lovable, n8n, and Supabase. However, I only completed reading one product management book out of four, which was the target. I highly recommend the book I read, Continuous Discovery Habits by Teressa Torres, if you want to know the best practices for product discovery.
- [Extra] Have a fun Guangzhou trip. (✅10/10) It was the best trip that I have had so far! The weather was good so we could explore many places by metro and on foot. If you are into Chinese Cantonese food, this is probably the best place, as there are many amazing restaurants. A few dishes that I highly recommend are Dim Sum, Rice Rolls, Roasted Pigeon, Clay Pot Rice, and any Cantonese desserts. If you are going to the nearby cities, you must try Roasted Goose at Shunde and the Oyster Chicken Hotpot at Zhuhai.
Top Wins in Last Quarter and Why
- New job offer secured. Simple as that! It’s a decent PM offer.
- Practicing Law of Assumption. This is a concept popularized by Neville Goddard, which suggests that your assumptions shape your reality. I had been competitive since young, and this quarter is the quarter that I think I have finally stopped sabotaging myself by comparing myself with others. I started to truly believe I’m lucky and that I don’t need to chase or fight for good things. Good things will just flow naturally towards me when I’m focusing on my craft.
It’s not just about being delusional—it’s about training your brain to look for the positive, trust in divine timing, and stay open to possibility.

Top Biggest Challenges & Lessons Learned
- Uncertainty during a job application. I was close to getting offers but didn’t due to the hiring freeze and priority changes. I learned to accept the situation and moved on. All rejection is redirection, leading me closer to what is more suitable for me.
- Discipline to stick to a fitness routine. My Apple Health trends show that my workout volume is much lower than last year, as I stopped going to Tennis lessons every week. Going to the gym three times a week is difficult for my schedule, so I use my participation in a full marathon in October to push me to complete at least one leg day a week.
My Aspirations for Q3 2025
- My 1-year surrender experiment till Sept 2025 (contd).
- Wrote 10 articles. With the n8n workflow set up to speed up my article creation, I want to see if this helps me get more traffic.
- Workout 5x a week, must have leg day/running each week. I hope to reach 20km by the end of September at a pace of 8.50 and reduce my weight to 50kg.
- Create 3 AI projects. I want to learn more about AI and use it to improve my workflow.
- [Extra] Control my screen time to 5 hours/day. I noticed myself spending a lot of time on my screen. As it is bad for my vision, I’m planning to reduce it from an average of 7 hours/day.
- [Extra] Reduce cholesterol from 6.11 to 5.0. Strategies: Continue calorie tracking, reduce carbs, and sleep well.
- [Extra] Enjoy my Japan trip in November.
My Favorite Tool for Quarterly Planning
Inspired by 12 Week Year book, I made a 12-week goal planner Google Sheets template to help with my own time management, reflection, and motivation—and it’s been a game changer! It even comes with a 13-week version for extra flexibility. If you’re into planning and staying organized, you can check it out here or on Etsy! 😊
