My Quarterly Planning For Q2’25: Regaining Girl Boss Energy

Quarterly planning Q2 2025

Do you ever feel like months just fly by and you’re not sure if you’re making real progress? That was me before I started a life-changing habit in April 2023: quarterly planning. You can read my past entries here. Following is the template I use; feel free to adapt it however suits your season of life:

  1. Review your top 3 aspirations for the past 3 months, did you achieve them? If not, why?
  2. What were the top 3 big wins of the past 3 months and why?
  3. What were the 3 biggest challenges, and what did you learn from them?
  4. What are the top 3 aspirations for the coming 3 months? And what’s the biggest risk they might not happen? And what are you going to do to mitigate that risk?

✨You don’t always have to list three things; you can change the number yourself as your life experiences differ.

To help achieve goals set, I use a 13-week year Google Sheets template (based on the 12-week year method) to set up my goals, track progress and reflect. So far, it has improved my focus and results drastically. Here’s my snapshot for this quarter.

Q1 2025 Reflections

  1. My 1-year surrender experiment till Sept 2025 (contd).  (✅10/10) This mindset experiment continues to shift my inner world. One major achievement this quarter: I no longer see challenges at work as a cage that I have to flee from. Instead, I now view them as challenges that I should rise above. This shift of perspective not only got me out of emotional turmoil but also successfully resolved some conflicts at work, improving my interpersonal skills and adaptability. Even during the volatile stock market this quarter, I managed to move away from panic mode at the beginning. I’m now calm and able to make more informed decisions.
  2. Wondefull’s monthly profit reached RM400. (✅4/10) I achieved this in January 2024, but not in the following months. Still, I’m proud of launching a new product and upgrading another existing product.
  3. 19% body fat. (✅6/10) I didn’t achieve it as work was rather demanding this quarter. So far, I have completed 76% of my workout planned tasks, including gym 2-3x weekly and cardio 1x weekly. Sleep-wise, it was about 7 hours a day. The area where I fell short is eating clean; in fact, I ate out more this quarter.
  4. Learn how to calculate intrinsic value for a company. (✅5/10) To be honest, I lost interest in this halfway through and didn’t prioritize it.
  5. Get a job that has good culture, work-life balance and salary. (✅6/10) I put in a lot of effort here, but I’m still in the process. This journey has clarified what I truly want in a career. Instead of getting a job in a set timeline, I’m pivoting my focus to upskilling myself in Q2 2025.
  6. [Extra] Write 2 blog articles. (✅10/10)
  7. [Extra]Learn how to do makeup. (✅10/10) I went for a professional makeup class with my friend, and it was so worth it! People had been complementing my makeup look, and I no longer heard feedback that I looked tired despite wearing makeup. That’s a win!

Top Wins in Last Quarter and Why

  1. Growth in adaptability and interpersonal skills. I can now navigate the nuances at work with more grace and calmness. I’m glad to push forward some workflow optimization and successfully launched a big project this quarter. My job search challenges had also helped me get clearer on my career pursuit.
  2. Health Clarity & Self-Care. My body showed some symptoms, which I think were partially triggered by stress. I went for a colonoscopy, blood test, and facial massage to get diagnosed and started some treatment. So far, things are getting under control and in the next quarter, I will be focusing on reducing my cholesterol level.

Top Biggest Challenges & Lessons Learned

  1. My impatience and ambition. This quarter reminded me (again!) that progress takes time. I can’t shortcut growth, but I can stay consistent. Upskilling and emotional maturity are long games—and I’m learning to trust the pace. Another truth is that luck does play a huge role!
  2. Non-attachment to short-term monetary fluctuations. I always do a net worth review at the beginning of each month, and I often get anxious throughout the month because I had anticipated a drop in it. This has led to rash decisions in investment and unnecessary stress, which have reflected on my health and impacted other relationships. Thanks to the surrender experiment and Tao Te Ching, I’ve come to realize I shouldn’t get attached to it. The more I think about it, the more I operate from a lack mindset, which doesn’t help attract money and opportunities.

My Aspirations for Q2 2025

  1. My 1-year surrender experiment till Sept 2025 (contd).
  2. Wondefull’s monthly profit reached RM400. I plan to launch 1 new product and improve my Etsy listings.
  3. Reducing LDL from 4.89 to 3.3. It was shocking to see that my cholesterol had reached a new peak. My weekly strategy includes:
    1. 20 mins cardio before gym
    2. Cardio sport
    3. Yoga and meditation
    4. Cholesterol supplement and consume sufficient vegetables intake every day.
  4. Upskill on AI and PM. I want to take an AI course and start an AI project. I also plan to finish 4 PM books.
  5. [Extra] Have a fun Guangzhou trip.

My Favorite Tool for Quarterly Planning

Inspired by 12 Week Year book, I made a 12-week goal planner Google Sheets template to help with my own time management, reflection, and motivation—and it’s been a game changer! It even comes with a 13-week version for extra flexibility. If you’re into planning and staying organized, you can check it out here or on Etsy! 😊
